I wish I was beautiful

I wish I could write in the way music can speak 

I wish I could be moved by love to write out my heart

So it could be seen

But not for me

For mankind

I wish I could change the world

Or at least mine

I wish I could force people to see I never mean harm

No matter if I must be stern 

I never mean to hurt

I only want us all to love each other

To see each other

To allow each of us to be heard

I want to take I out of these sentences

And for the music to crescendo

And for your heart to fill 

to swell

For tears to come to your eyes as you see the truth
